How to handle special check-in situations

Learn how to deal with check-ins when you have reached total contracted hours, missed your check-in, or your client is temporarily suspended.

⏱️ Working on engagement with dedicated hours?

Keep an eye on your contracted hours

Contracted hours for dedicated engagements are defined on a daily basis:

  • Full-time: 8 hours/day
  • Part-time: usually 4 hours/day

If you worked fewer hours, choose the reason:
  • Not enough tasks available, if the client provided some work, but not enough to fill the day
  • Sick leave
  • Other (provide reason)

If you work more than your contracted hours (overtime):

  • You can record the additional hours as usual, as long as you still have contracted hours remaining in the current billing period (usually the month).
  • The platform displays the remaining contracted hours in every check-in.
  • If overtime hasn’t been agreed with the client, the platform will show an info message.

☝️ When you hit your contracted hours limit for the billing period, you won’t be able to add more hours.

Contact your Account Manager to arrange overtime approval. After approval, you can log extra hours from the agreed date onward.

💡 Even when you reach your contracted hours, daily check-in is still a must.

The system will guide you to record non-worked days when there are no remaining contracted hours.

🚫 Client is temporarily suspended?

In rare cases, a client's account may be temporarily suspended.

☝️ You're not allowed to work for the client during the suspension.

Your check-in page will display a message explaining the situation. All you need to do is confirm, and the platform will automatically create a “no hours worked” entry for that day.

🔁 What happens if you miss the check-in

If you forget to check in, the platform will automatically create a missed check-in the next day.
You’ll need to submit all missed check-ins before you can send your monthly time report.
