Monthly compensation model
Understand how Proxify’s monthly compensation model works, including stable monthly payments, flex days, overtime policies, and time-off rules.
📌 A predictable compensation model for long-term engagements
Proxify’s monthly compensation model is designed to provide tech talents with stable and predictable income throughout their engagement.
Instead of fluctuating based on the number of working days in a month, compensation remains fixed as long as the agreed number of hours is completed. The model also includes paid flex days that can be used for vacation, public holidays, or sick leave.
💳 Payment and compensation
🤔 Will I receive the same amount every month?
💡 Yes. As long as you work the agreed number of hours in your engagement, you’ll receive the full monthly amount defined in your contract.
This applies even if the month has fewer working days.
🤔 Can my monthly compensation change?
💡 Compensation changes only in specific situations:
- Approved overtime hours
- Reduced working hours not covered by flex days
☝️ Important: Overtime must be approved by both the client and Proxify before it’s worked.
🤔 Are payments gross or net?
💡 Payments are gross. You are responsible for:
- Taxes
- Social contributions
- Other legal obligations in your country
🤔 In what currency will I be paid?
💡 Payment currency depends on your region:
- Europe and Asia → EUR (€)
- Latin America → USD ($)
🤔 When are payments made?
💡 Payments are processed monthly and are typically paid on the 22nd of the following month. Example: hours worked in March are usually paid on April 22nd.
🤔 What happens if I leave in the middle of a month?
💡 Your compensation will be prorated based on the number of hours worked during the month.
🗓 Flex days
🤔 What are flex days?
💡 Flex days are paid time-off days that can be used for:
- Vacation
- Public holidays
- Sick leave
Tech talents receive:
- 2 flex days per full month worked
Flex days become available after the first 30 days of the engagement and require client approval before use.
🤔 How do I request time off using flex days?
💡 Follow the “Rule of 5” when planning time off:
- 1 day off → Inform the client 5 days in advance
- 1 week off → Inform the client 5 weeks in advance
- Longer absences → Plan as early as possible

☝️ Important: Early communication helps clients plan workloads and maintain project continuity.
🤔 Do unused flex days carry over?
💡 No. Unused flex days do not carry over between calendar years.
However:
- Up to 5 unused days per year can be paid out at year-end
- All unused flex days are paid out at the end of the engagement
🤔 Can I use flex days across multiple clients?
💡 No. Flex days are tied to a specific engagement and do not transfer between clients or engagements.
🌍 Public holidays and time off
🤔 Can I take local public holidays off?
💡 Yes, if:
- The client approves the time off in advance
- You have enough flex days available to cover it
🤔 Are client country holidays automatically observed?
💡 No. Public holidays are not applied automatically for either:
- Your local country
- The client’s country
Holiday expectations should be discussed and aligned with the client in advance.
🤔 What happens if I take time off without approval or enough flex days?
💡 The time off may be deducted from your monthly compensation unless another arrangement has been agreed upon.
⏱ Overtime and end of engagement
🤔 Can I work extra hours to earn more?
💡 Yes. Overtime is possible when approved in advance by both:
- The client
- Proxify
❗ Caution: Unapproved overtime will not be compensated.
🤔 What happens to my flex days when I end an engagement?
💡 All earned and unused flex days will be paid out with your final invoice.
